South
Campground

Located on the south side of the Big Qualicum River and backing on to the Strait of Georgia. Adjacent to the North Campgroud, the South Campground and provides recreational spaces for SEASONAL OCCUPANCY ONLY.

Horne Lake Caves – 17km

Horne Lake Caves Provincial Park is a provincial park on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Its principal function is the protection, management, and recreational use of several caves collectively known as the Horne Lake Caves.

Milner Gardens – 16km

Milner Gardens & Woodland is a seaside garden in Qualicum Beach on the East Coast of Vancouver Island. It is a gardeners paradise with its wild garden of meadow lawns. varieties of rhododendrons, and rare old-growth Douglas firs and Western red cedars.

Big Qualicum Fish Hatchery / Trails – 1km

Amble along under the riverside tree canopy, explore the Fisheries and Oceans Canada hatchery complex and catch the action when the salmon spawn in the fall. It’s a great level route for hiking enthusiasts and family cycling groups.

Arrowsmith Golf Course – 5km

This delightful, 18 hole, par 61 course is an enjoyable test for golfers of all skill levels. Open to the public, Mickey J’s offers many menu and refreshment choices plus a large covered patio overlooking the 18th green, Mount Arrowsmith, and water fountain.

Lighthouse Hiking Trails – 1km

Take a step away from the beach and walk, run or ride the north and south loops of the Lighthouse Country Regional Trail (LCRT) located in Bowser and Qualicum Bay. The level grade and connection to more trails in the surrounding Crown forest.

Paradise Mini Golf – 30km

Paradise Mini Golf and Fun Park lets you choose from 2 exciting 18 hole golf courses. Play one exciting course, or play two and receive a discount. Everyone has fond memories of their time at the local fair riding the bumper cars.

Cone Zone Ice Cream – 2km

Within walking distance from our Qualicum First Nation Campground. While ‘in the Zone’ you can sit and enjoy a panoramic view of the Straight of Georgia.

French Creek Boat Basin – 25km

French Creek’s working harbour is home to a large commercial fishing fleet and many charter operations that can take visitors fishing, sightseeing, and diving. French Creek Marina offers sheltered moorage and yachting amenities for sailboats and pleasure craft. PLUS a boat launch ramp open to public use.

Deep Bay Marine Field Station – 12km

The Deep Bay Marine Field Station supports both pure and applied coastal and marine research activities related to: sustainable shellfish and aquaculture development; preservation of coastal ecosystems; and inter-disciplinary projects involving locals.

Butterfly World – 21km

Once you’ve seen the butterflies, make sure and visit the Water Gardens. Featuring two large outdoor ponds, you can witness the Giant Japanese Koi fish at feeding times as they boil to the surface to reach their food. It’s quite a sight!
